Benjamin Banneker Black InventorBENJAMIN BANNEKER – Benjamin Banneker was born November 9, 1731, in Baltimore, Maryland.  He was a farmer, astronomer, scientist, mathematician, and surveyor.  He manufactured the first clock ever in America from wood after borrowing a pocket watch.  It was amazingly precise and worked for over 30 years before burning in a fire.  He even started a business making and fixing clocks.  There is so much more to learn about this great man.
