Frederick D. Patterson - Boys
Description:FREDERICK D. PATTERSON – Frederick’s dad, C.R. Patterson was born as a slave in 1835. After gaining his freedom 1865, he moved to Greenfield, Ohio where he later started a business called C.R. Patterson & Sons, a manufacturer of horse carriages. Frederick took over the business after his father died and shifted the focus of the business from carriages to cars. His first car was built in 1915 and sold for $850. He would later go on to make buses and trucks.
