Sisters Got Game

Sisters Got Game
The black women athlete has been undervalued and overlooked for too long.  She was denied the right to participate in the 1932 Olympics because of her beautiful skin (Louise Stokes and Tidye Pickett).  It took sixteen more years before Alice Coachman became the first black woman to win Olympic gold in the high jump at the 1948 Olympics. Wilma Rudolph won 3 gold medals in the 1960 Olympics.  And Willye White was the first American woman to compete in five Olympic Games (1956, 1960, 1964, 1968 and 1972).  Cheryl Miller led the U.S. Basketball Team to gold in 1984.  And all I need to say is Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Flo-Jo and you know the rest!  Sheryl Swoops won Olympic gold in basketball at 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympics.  Venus! Serena! All love, set and match!  Dominique, Gabby and now the greatest U.S. Olympian ever - Simone Biles.  Sisters Got Game!
